The Hobbit text adventure game was developed by Beam Software and published by Melbourne House in 1982. It was released for Apple II PC Commodore 64 and many more consoles. This was a illustrated text adventure game its based on the Novel the game came with a copy of the Novel as well. It had a advanced one touch word command system. Many of the locations in the game where illustrated by an image by Kent Rees. To help the gamers out there was a book released in 1984. In 1985 the Lord Of the Rings Game One was released to Continent the legacy. In 1986 a pardy of the game was released called The Boggit.

Also in the game it had lots of bugs and the company never fixed the bugs in the Hobbit. There where lots of NPC and they frelly roamed the world you could never tell where they where.
